Lake District Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Bed and Breakfast's in the Lake District (B&B's) are almost the same as boarding houses, they occupy a large portion of the property, some B and B owners let the full house for holiday accommodation and only keep a couple of rooms, sometimes downstairs in the celler or basement, for their accommodation.

You will find B&B's in most towns and villages in the National Park, all offering bed and breakfast accommodation, also in hidden valleys or poised upon hillsides looking down over the many lakes and excellent landscape, pubs and some businesses also provide b&b accommodation on a nightly basis.

Visitors are provided a room for the night most have their own private en-suites, breakfast time is usually around 8 - 10am (ask the owner for the correct times) some will serve you breakfast in bed if your lucky, but the dining room is mostly used for breakfast, most provide separate tables per room indicated with the number of your room, some have a long bench instead of individual tables which is great for a crowd of walkers or a group of mates.
